Person who has suffered from HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis B C, genetic diseases blood diseases like hemophilia and thalassemia, chronic organ diseases and/or cancers must not donate lifelong.
There are certain medical conditions for which you may be deferred by the blood bank for a certain period of time (for days, months or years)
