Male can donate after every 3months and female can donate after every 4 months

What happens to your donated blood?

Blood is separated into three to four parts or kept as whole blood; tested for blood groups and infectious diseases such as HIV, hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, syphilis etc and stored.  Whole blood and Red blood cell are stored up to 35 days, plasma for 1 year and platelets for 5 days.
